10th Jubilee Medimus Festival – August 23 & 24
The 10th jubilee edition of the Medimus Festival will be held in Prizren, in the atrium of the 14th-century Church of the Holy Saviour, on August 23 and 24, 2025.
On the first day of the Festival, selected by the Festival’s Artistic Director, Darko Karajić, the audience will enjoy a performance by the Audite ensemble from Slovenia. This ensemble was founded earlier this year by Janez Jocif, and is renowned for its interpretation of Cantigas de Santa Maria. Following them, the audience will have the opportunity to hear the Musica Antiqua Neoplantesis ensemble from Novi Sad, led by the Brazilian artist Meila Tomé, already well known to the Medimus audience.
On the second day of the Festival, the audience will hear the Theatrum Instrumentorum ensemble from Milan, one of Italy’s most renowned early music ensembles, led by Aleksandar Karlić. The honor of closing this year’s Medimus Festival will belong to the celebrated Serbian artist Divna Ljubojević and the Melodi choir, who had previously performed at our festival five years ago.
Over the years, the Medimus Festival has hosted artists from more than 13 countries, including internationally acclaimed performers such as Slobodan Trkulja, the Teofilović brothers, and Edin Karamazov.
The 10th Medimus Festival is once again organized by the Society of Friends of the Monastery of the Holy Archangels, the Gračanica Cultural Centre, and the Holy Archangels Foundation, with the blessing of the Raška-Prizren Diocese and the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
The Festival is non-commercial in nature. Admission to both festival evenings is free.
